Digital Voices

Pod casting is a way for people to tell their stories, speeches anything. It is a way to get it out in ways that reach people greater than just a small crowd for an audience. It gives you a much larger audience, even though you don’t know the people that listen to it, you still know it is getting out there and people are hearing your opinions and beliefs.

I listened to Remembering all the Boys by Elvia Bautista. I chose this piece because it tolled about a real personal experience that affected her greatly. Her brother was in a gang and was shot and killed by a rivalry gang. She talked about how when she visits her brother’s grave she also visits the graves of boys from the other gangs.

For the introduction of the speech she says she believes that everyone deserves flowers on their graves. The n she gets into the details about her brother and how he died and other boys that died. She talks about how her and her friend put flowers on the graves of all the boys, she believes it shows respect.
